Sports
It was a great time to be a sports fan during the 1970's and 1980's. The top sports were basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and boxing. The boxing world was at its best with some of the best boxers in the world. The 70s led the world to a new sports era. It put everything where it is today. If it weren't for the 70s, the sports world today as we know it, wouldn't be the same. Football probably had some of the greatest players of all time. "Mean" Joe Greene, Walter Payton, Roger Staubach were just some of the greatest players of all time. One of the best world series was the 1975 series with the Boston Red Sox led by Fred Lynn going up against the Cincinnati Reds led by Ken Griffey. Game 6 was probable the most memorable game out of the series. The Red Sox slugged it out and won in 12 innings. Boxing had a absolute blast watching so many great boxers from Muhammad Ali to George Foreman. The most famous moment in boxing history was Muhammad Ali against George Foreman on October 1st, 1975. Muhammad Ali won the fight because he dominated from the early rounds.
